Angely Martinez
UConn MBA Student Ambassador, Hartford
Bio: After spending most of my career in the legal industry, I made a career pivot into the higher education industry. For the past 5 years, I have successfully managed the day-to-day operations and projects of graduate medical education programs at competitive institutions. My career interests include leadership, project management, program management, performance management, and work/life balance. I currently manage the Yale Pediatrics Residency Program and have become a pivotal member of their leadership team. I am proud to have designed and implemented successful projects that have increased efficiency, improved compliance, and set our program apart from its competitors. I have also applied what I have learned throughout my MBA studies, which has helped me become a more effective leader and high-level decision maker. I am very excited to share how the PMBA program has benefited me on a personal and professional level with current and prospective students. Outside of work, I enjoy listening to podcasts, public speaking, volunteering, dancing, hiking, cooking, trying out new restaurants, reading books, powerlifting, and hanging out with my rescue dog Suzi.
