Huskies, take the summer to fast-track seamlessly from your bachelor's degree into MBA coursework—no prior professional work experience required.

The UConn MBA Summer Bridge Program gives high-achieving UConn graduating seniors a powerful headstart on their MBA. Designed exclusively for UConn students from any school or major, this immersive summer experience allows you to complete graduate-level MBA coursework, gain early admission eligibility, and enter the workforce—or transition directly into an MBA—with credits already earned.

Students who successfully complete the program become eligible for continued enrollment within UConn’s One-Year MBA, Flex MBA, or Online MBA, accelerating their path to graduate business education.

MBA Summer Bridge Program at a Glance
  • Format: Online and in-person in Hartford, CT
  • Timeline: Summer Experience. May - August
  • Courses: 4 MBA courses (12 credits total)
  • Fees: $1,200 per credit* (2025-26 fiscal year rate)
    *Credits apply directly toward the MBA, representing nearly 30% of the total degree.

MBA Bootcamp

During the summer, students complete a focused sequence of graduate-level coursework designed to mirror the academic rigor, pace, and expectations of the UConn MBA. Courses are delivered in an accelerated format and taught by UConn School of Business faculty.

The experience begins with a signature MBA Bootcamp, which helps students think strategically, collaborate effectively, and perform at the MBA level from day one. Throughout the program, students are fully immersed in the MBA learning environment and supported by faculty and program leadership.

  • BADM 5894 – Special Topics
  • ACCT 5121 – Financial Accounting and Reporting
  • MKTG 5115 – Marketing Management
  • MENT 5138 – Managing Organizations

During the summer, students complete a structured blend of online and in-person coursework designed to prepare them for the rigor, pace, and expectations of MBA-level study. All MBA courses are taught by UConn School of Business faculty, recognized experts in their fields who regularly publish in leading journals and advise organizations worldwide.

As a top public research university, UConn is a hub for innovation and discovery. Faculty conduct cutting-edge research in areas such as health care and big data, creativity and entrepreneurship, and sustainability and risk management—advancing solutions to today’s most pressing challenges.

Advising and 1:1 Career Coaching

MBA Summer Bridge faculty and leadership provide guidance and mentorship, fully integrating students into the MBA learning environment and offering the same academic and professional support as all UConn MBA students.

As a UConn MBA student, you’ll work with your advisor to create a customized MBA plan, navigate School and University policies, and plan for graduation. The School of Business Career Development Office partners with you to align your skills, values, and experiences with your career goals. A dedicated career coach will meet 1:1 to set strategic career objectives, identify skills for advancement, and support networking, job-seeking, and interview preparation.
