Nicholas Casale
I am currently a Homicide/Major Crimes detective in my 13th year in law enforcement. After spending the first 12 years of my career with the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office in Newark, New Jersey, I recently began a new chapter by accepting a position with the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office in Freehold, New Jersey, in June 2025. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, graduating in three and a half years in December 2009. For many years, I went back and forth on the idea of pursuing my master’s degree, hesitant to take on what felt like a daunting commitment while managing the demands of a full-time career. In 2024, I finally took the leap and enrolled in the UConn Online MBA program, and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Returning to the classroom after a 15-year break was intimidating, but the experience has far exceeded my wildest expectations. The flexibility, support from the program staff, and quality of instruction have made this an incredibly rewarding experience. I genuinely look forward to every class and cannot wait to see what’s next in this journey. I am incredibly honored and excited to share my story with prospective students on just how impactful this program has been for me, as well as how much promise I see in its future. If I can help just one person take the same leap as I did, every minute I dedicate to being an MBA Student Ambassador will have been well worth it.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, cooking, spending time with my fiancée and family, including my five nephews and niece, and watching my New York Jets (often hopelessly) try to get me through the early fall months until UConn basketball season begins!
